CollegeBound Mentoring Program

 

 

CollegeBound pairs 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th graders from Ames High School and women college students from Iowa State University. The group will meet biweekly, and meetings will focus on transitioning to college, mental health awareness, diversity and inclusion, career exploration, community service, leadership development and fun. These focus areas will help encourage self-growth and preparation for higher education for high school students.

 

During the "off-weeks" the pairings are encouraged to form and attend group events such as volunteer work, going to the movies, campus visits and much more.
