Angela Merrick, Executive Director
Angela grew up in Iowa City, Iowa. She graduated from the University of Iowa in 2006 and has a background in journalism, English, and nonprofit management. She became the Executive Director of the YWCA Ames-ISU in August 2011. She is married and has three boys - a 13-year-old named Oliver, an 11-year-old named Hudson, and a 7-year-old named Liam. Angela spends her free time attending her kids' activities, traveling, reading, camping, swimming and spending time with family.

Eliana Brown, Financial/Office Assistant
Eliana is a Junior majoring in both Business Management and Entrepreneurship along with a minor in Psychology. She is originally from Council Bluffs, Iowa. In her free time she enjoys going on drives or walks with her friends, eating ice cream, listening to music, and going home to spend time with her parents. She looks forward to working more with nonprofits in the future and admires the YWCA for carrying out an inspiring mission.

Isabelle Bolton, GIRLS Power Mentoring Coordinator
Isabelle Bolton is a Junior at Iowa State University double majoring in Environmental and Climate Science. She is originally from Camanche, Iowa. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, hanging out with friends, going on walks, trying new coffee shops and restaurants, and exploring new places in Ames. Isabelle is excited to help create friendships between college girls and build confidence in middle school girls through the YWCA GIRLS power program!

Molly Sickels, GIRLS Power Mentoring Coordinator
Molly Sickels is a Junior at Iowa State majoring in Psychology with minors in Criminal Justice and Statistics. She is from Osceola, Iowa. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, and getting outdoors! She is so excited to continue her involvement with GIRLS Power and is looking forward to building meaningful connections with mentors and mentees!

Emma Grace Hartman, CollegeBound Mentoring Coordinator
Emma Grace Hartman is a senior at Iowa State University, majoring in Psychology and a minoring in Communication Studies. She is originally from Eastern Iowa and has been a Cyclone fan her whole life. She enjoys working in the psychology department on campus, meeting with prospective students, and teaching group fitness classes on ISU’s campus. In her free time, she enjoys all things outside: pickleball, running, walking, or reading. She has enjoyed her time as a mentor for the CollegeBound program and took over as the lead coordinator in January 2026. In the program, she has tried to meet the high school girls where they are and gain a better understanding of what they want to do.

Sang is a Graduate Student in Finance originally from Vietnam and passionate about empowering international communities through community development, financial literacy, and enhancing English communication skills. She loves spending quality time with her family, relaxing over coffee and conversations with friends, reading, and exploring new experiences
